• Why we work with Trail Group

    Trail Group are installing Hyfire temporary fire alarm system to give early indication of a fire. These works will be carried out within the communal areas and each property. These works are are due to be completed at the end of February 2025 with the system being commissioned for go live in March 2025, we will continue to keep you updated of progress

  • Why are we installing a temporary fire alarm system?

    Following the PAS9980 survey, a recommendation is to install a temporary fire alarm system.

    Enhanced Safety: Fire alarms are crucial for early detection of fires, allowing for quicker evacuation and response, which can save lives and reduce property damage.

Temporary Fire Alarm Installation

At Evenlode there is a simultaneous evacuation strategy. A simultaneous evacuation strategy is a fire safety plan where all occupants of a building evacuate at the same time when a fire alarm is triggered. This approach is typically used in buildings where a "stay put" policy (where residents remain in their flats unless directly affected by fire or smoke) is not suitable due to specific fire risks.

Timeline of work with Trail Alarms

  • Started procurment process on 28 Feb 2024.
  • Appointed Trail Group end of June 2024.
  • Project Manager appointed in July 2024.
  • Installation expected over 10 weeks from September 2024.
  • Installed and Fully commisioned end of January 2025.
  • Complete a new fire risk assessment.
