Our work with residents so far

Making sure our resident are safe through the ‘Waking watch’  and now Trail Group temporary fire alarm installation
  • The waking watch provide a continual review and assessment of any fire risks and are a proactive measure to help residents if a fire is identified, through calling the fire service and early indiciation to residents. This waking watch is a recommendation following the external wall survey, until such point the temporary fire alarm is installed.
  • As part of the waking watch continual communal area checks, they scan the QR codes in the communal area to validate their passing.
  • The waking watch have been trained to identify fire risk actions and report and to assist in raising the alarm if there was an emergency.
  • The waking watch will be removed from post once all of the alarms have been fitted at Evenlode.
Communication
  • FAQ have gone out to residents with a glossary with the updated FRA (view here)
  • The posters in all our blocks contain a live QR code with relevant FRA information for residents about the block.
  • Meeting with the local mosque to address parking issues, in addition to working together to ensure mosque users do not park outside Evenlode when visiting the mosque.
  • Keeping in touch is important - you can provide any feedback via the evenlode email: evenlodeupdates@housingsolutions.co.uk
A programme of tenancy audits
  • A tenancy audit is a process used by landlords or property managers to verify the accuracy of tenant information and ensure compliance with lease terms. This can include checking that the tenant is occupying the property as agreed, verifying the number of occupants, and ensuring that the property is being maintained properly.
  • A visit from the housing officer to check on the residents in the home and property condition
  • We have completed all our audits for residents living in Evenlode
Checking on Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan ‘PEEPs’
  • Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP) is used to document how people will be evacuated when they have difficulty responding to a fire alarm or escaping from a building unaided, in the event of an emergency.
  • All households have been assessed, not everyone with a mobility issue needs a PEEP
