BBQ Safety Tips for Summer

👀  Stay alert! Keep an eye on children and pets, and if you’re having a drink, make sure to stay aware around the BBQ to prevent accidents.

🔥 Let your BBQ cool down completely before bringing it indoors-hot coals can release dangerous fumes.

🏡 Don’t use BBQs on balconies - always cook outside and away from buildings.

Always operate BBQ in accordance with the operating instructions.

Check your BBQ for any damage before use - never use a faulty one.

Set up your BBQ on a stable, level surface. Avoid petrol or other flammable liquids - firelighters are much safer.

Place disposable BBQs on non-combustible surfaces, away from trees and fences.

Let disposable BBQs cool completely before putting them in the refuse bin.

Keeping cool at home

🏡 Keep curtains closed – blocking out the sun helps keep your home cooler.

💨 Create a breeze – open windows on opposite sides of your home for fresh airflow.

💧 Stay hydrated – drink plenty of water throughout the day.
