This summer, Housing Solutions went out into your communities to listen to your feedback on our services.
Top of the list was that you wanted repairs to be faster, and we hear this. That’s why we’re growing our trades team so we’ve got more people who can fix things for you.
We also wanted to ask if there were any issues we could help with immediately.
As a result, 5 issues were fixed directly, 35 repairs were booked in, 6 inspections booked, 9 issues were passed to our Asset Management Team to investigate, and 12 were passed to the Housing Team to follow up.
In some cases, where there was a request for improvements to the neighbourhood, or where there were parking or rubbish collection issues, this was passed to the local authority where it was their responsibility, and we are unable to act.
Drugs and antisocial behaviour were also a concern in some areas, but in virtually every case of a report provided, there was already an ongoing liaison with the police and these issues were under investigation. Sometimes it’s difficult for us to let you know about these kinds of investigations, but we will update people in the neighbourhood where we can.
IT issues, such as problems with our online portal, or booking repairs using the app, tended to be quickly and easily addressed by our in-house team and all that were reported have been sorted out.
Much of the feedback you gave us didn’t require an immediate response as it was about general issues, or suggestions for major improvements that we’d love to make but there isn’t enough budget for, but it’s all vital and been noted and reported back to the relevant team.
